Location: Bucharest

  • DWH: Oracle, SQL, Informatica, Teradata, ETL, Unix/Shell Scripting, QlikView, Cloudera – Data Warehouse;

  • Android, iOS, Angular, Web Dynpro, ABAP, SSIS, Batch scripts – Web & Mobile;
  • Infrastructure: Linux, Microsoft Windows – Active Directory, Exchange, VM-Ware – System Admin;
  • Software testing: Java, Groovy, Selenium, Apium, Geb – QA Automation and much more.
  • SAP: Web-Dynpro ABAP, as IDOC, PI, Web-service, Proxy, OData, EDI/ALE/IDOCs, RFC, BAPI’s

Summary objective of the job:

The professional Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain the performance of database servers
  • Develop processes for optimizing database security
  • Set and maintain database standards
  • Manage database access
  • Performance tuning of database systems
  • Install, upgrade, and manage database applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
  • Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
  • Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
  • Create automation for repeating database tasks
  • Be available for on-call support as needed
  • Build database systems of high availability & quality depending on each user’s specialized role
  • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
  • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
  • Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
  • Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
  • PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
  • Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge, problem solving
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
  • Familiarity with Programming API
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
  • Extensive experience with database technologies (MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, SAP Sybase) a plus
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
  • MCSE/MCSA courses preferably
  • Understanding of extract, transform and load processes is a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
